NILSSON
Indie pop musician NILSSON launched his career playing the New York festival and nightlife scene as the frontman of prominent local bands. After finding success with his beach rock vibe and energetic live shows, he pursued a new project.
In March 2022, NILSSON released his debut EP Bowling Pin/Moonlight. He's since released a collection of A/B singles demonstrating his Jack Johnson-meets-McCartney songwriting style. NILSSON will release new singles Spring 2023 with a full length release coming this Fall.
Born Luke Nilsson on the East End of Long Island, he shortened the name to NILSSON in memory of his late father who died just as the project began. Luke has shared bills with Glassjaw and Ryan Cassata at venues such as Great South Bay Music Festival and Arlene’s Grocery.
And no. His dad wasn't Harry Nilsson.
