The Gasoline

The Gasoline is George Eve (vocals/guitar), Gigi Gardner (bass), and Chris Trombley (drums) – a 3 piece rock band from New York City by way of London.

Following the conclusion of the London garage rock quartet Joy Room, Eve moved to NYC for a change of scenery and better cheeseburgers. While writing the band’s first songs he lived Seinfeld-style across the hall from Donald Cumming, frontman of downtown indie rock icons The Virgins. Through Donald, George quickly found himself introduced to and in the studio with producer/engineer Gus Oberg (The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr.), where the two began working out a dozen tracks.

Gigi (formerly of London’s idiosyncratic post-punkers Famous) and Chris were quickly enlisted to elevate the sound and round out the band’s live lineup. Their first ever show came at a Mercury Lounge packed wall-to-wall with bodies and Matt Hitt (The Vaccines, Drowners) assuming the evening’s lead guitar responsibilities. The band’s sound looks back to move forward, retooling the spirit of the 2000s guitar band pantheon through a heightened emphasis on melody and lyrics inspired by rap all while guided by sensibilities of timeless 60s and 70s songwriting. Their debut single, ‘Midnight’ was released in February of 2024.The Gasoline are from New York City, produced by Gus Oberg (The Strokes, The Virgins)

JET DAISY

JET DAISY IS A PUNK ROCK DUO FORMED IN NEW YORK CITY IN 2023.
BLOOMING FROM A CHANCE MEETING AT A DIRTY BASEMENT IN THE LOWER EAST SIDE, MEMBERS EMMA DUFAULT & PETE COOMBS QUICKLY FOUND COMMON MUSICAL GROUND. AN EQUAL APPRECIATION FOR EARLY 80S PUNK, 90S GRUNGE, AND MODERN EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC LED THEM TO AIM FOR A SOUND ORIGINATING SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE OF THE COMPOUNDS OF TODAY’S ALT-ROCK.
IF BUZZCOCKS, HOLE, AND BLONDIE HAD A MENAGE A TROIS, THEIR LOVECHILD WOULD CERTAINLY HAVE THE NAME JET DAISY, OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO IT.

The Meeks

“I guess I’m fine with just ok,” The Meeks’ bandleader Michael Donovan gulps.

This sentiment, sung despite the fact that he and his bandmates (John King, Liam McCarthy, and Jake Murray) are clearly trying to be anything but, sits at the center of their somewhat ridiculous goal.

The Meeks aim — through efforts earnest, diligent, and often silly — to reframe the idea of “just ok” as a new kind of perfection: driven by the simplicity of pop structures, colored with punk-rock grit, rooted in a rich history of artists (The Verlaines, The Replacements, Fred Thomas, and The Olivia Tremor Control, among many others) who’ve themselves achieved this kind of perfect imperfection.

It's a goal they hope comes across in the sound of their dynamic live set, crafted in rooms across the city, and on their forthcoming studio LP, People Don’t Talk, which arrives early 2024.
