theboys. (10pm)
theboys. are an alternative jazz band from Boston, MA. Our music should make you feel and think something.
Sasha Dobson (9pm)
The Chameleon singer songwriter, jazz chanteuse and multi instrumentalist Sasha Dobson of Puss n Boots ( Norah Jones Catherine Popper ) is known for eclectic work on both the jazz and rock circuit and is a staple on the NY music scene. She will be joined by legendary rhythms section, Tony Scherr on bass and Kenny Wollesen on drums.
Tracy City (8pm)
Tracy City is a gang of salty broads revving the engines of garage rock by way of New York City no-wave queercore. Formed by underground film director Katrina del Mar (vocals), with Monica Falcone (guitar, vocals) Genny Slag (drums, vocals) and Betsy Todd (bass). Tracy City is both a fictional band in an experimental feature film screenplay, and also a very real trash rock lesbian presence in present day hyper-gentrified New York City. Think Bush Tetras meet the Pandoras by way of Gary Numan. Power retro-pop. Devo, B-52s, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, Gang of Four.
Adam Najemian (7pm)
Adam Najemian raised by a teacher and a postal worker in suburban NJ, Adam picked up the guitar at an early age. Music was a big part of the Najemian household and influenced his interests early on. After playing throughout northern NJ for several years with different bands and as a solo act, Adam is now based in Brooklyn and plays throughout greater NYC. His music influences continue to evolve, as does his sound. Over the years, Adam has taken inspiration from Delta blues, folk, and country all the way up to modern-day Americana. Adam has opened for and played with several big names in the music industry, including Grammy-nominated artist Danielle Nicole, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Tab Benoit, Samantha Fish, Pat Dinizio of The Smithereens, Eric Steckel, Shemekia Copeland, Matt Schofield, and Billy Hector.
