Stereo Verde
Stereo Verde
Stereo Verde is a new alternative rock band from Connecticut. Since their debut last December, the band has been recording and performing original rock music. The band is comprised of brothers Jack and Luke (guitar and bass), Kevin (guitar), and Greg (drums). In the wake of releasing their folk record, the band has underwent a Dylanesque "electric moment," re-vamping their original songs with new arrangements and instrumentation, as well as recording new rock tunes.
Hundred Plus Club
Hundred Plus Club
Established just a few short years ago inside a garage, the indie rock band now known as Hundred Plus Club is a quartet composed of school mates from Buffalo, New York. The members are drummer Burak Spoth, guitarist/singer Zain Shirazi, bassist Rafi Bloomberg, and guitarist Josh Gidwitz.
Porterfield
Porterfield
Porterfield is a Brooklyn based indie fusion trio. Drums, MOOG bass, guitar, and vocals come together to make an organic sound. They use folk and jazz language to push rock music into a fresh space.
YUZIMA
YUZIMA
At the crossroads of race, R&B and noise (and ancient spirits) sits Yuzima. Having been labeled “prince of noise” from a popular rock zine, Yuzima challenges the narrow landscape forced on queer artists of color, skillfully stirring old New Orleans style jazz, noise-rock, powerful vocals, and skillful songwriting to tell the full American story. Yuzima was destined for this path from his hard upbringing in a working-class housing project in the Bronx. His grandparents moved to Gun Hill as one of its first black families. All of that history and early choir singing, as well as trumpet skills, prepared Yuzima to move with his mother to Vermont, where he added post-punk to his influences, playing with local bands. Now YUZIMA lives in the East Village, has received numerous endorsements, including Marky Ramone from The Ramones, and writers from NPR, Paste and Esquire like Litsa Dremousis (who called his album "powerful as hell"). His most recent long player POWER hits on many of these themes including the current political climate specifically the corruption of the current administration and fascism. POWER has been featured from Impose Mag to Audio Fuzz and continues to conquer a world in turmoil. YUZIMA is the sound of the power of early U2 at their most ambitious mixing it up with Seal, George Clinton while followed by a brass band.
