Terry Klein
Terry Klein is a performing songwriter from Austin, Texas. His debut record, Great Northern, drew accolades from master songwriters such as Rodney Crowell, Mary Gauthier and appeared on multiple 2017 “Ten Best” lists. Terry draws on the genius of Hank Williams, Guy Clark, and John Prine but he also looks to prose writers like Flannery O'Connor, filmmakers like Wes Anderson, and painters like Edward Hopper for inspiration. He was a Regional Finalist at the 2017 Kerrville Folk Festival.

"“Feder’s voice is striking. It is soft and feminine yet strong and haunting…her songs reminded me of Paul Simon which is impressive, to say the least.” – Divide & Conquer.

Performing since the age of 15, Feder has appeared on stages across the world: from Thai PBS in Bangkok, to town halls in Ontario, Canada to festivals across California and house concerts in the U.K. In 2018 she could be found playing at the Kerrville Folk Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and as a main stage act at Northern California’s acclaimed Strawberry Music Festival. Music veteran Joe Craven described her Strawberry set as “brilliant and life changing.”

Feder holds a degree in Global Studies with a focus on songwriting as empowerment in indigenous and migrant communities. She spent two years wielding a backpack and guitar in places like China, India, Thailand and Italy. While attending lectures, writing essays and leading songwriting workshops, she composed a collection of songs that reflect stories encountered along the way. In 2017 she graduated and recorded her debut solo EP, Marigolds.  Often described as an old soul, the set of 5 original songs was met with glowing reviews, described as “a melodic salutation to all that is neglected and forgotten by a world at the mercy of Father Time; the carefully conceived work of a thoroughly engaging and exceptionally capable storyteller” (A Lonely Ghost Burning).

This fall, Feder crowdfunded over $10,000 to make a full length record with producer and engineer Rich Brotherton (Robert Earl Keen, Caroline Herring, etc.). The record is set to be released early 2019. "
