The Worst Humans
The Worst Humans
"Perhaps it bears mentioning that The Worst Humans are not what their name implies. The Worst Humans, in fact, are three remarkably talented musicians, doing their best to resurrect New York’s storied underground rock scene. And, by all accounts, they’re doing a hell of a job, as they color outside the lines of traditional pop music.

The Brooklyn-based trio is releasing their newest single, “We’re on Drugs,” a poignant and timely commentary on the prevalence of prescription drugs in America.

“Perhaps it is something I came to realize through experience, having lived and partied in New York for nearly a decade now,” shares Ian Holubiak, the band’s guitarist and lead vocalist.

“I constantly talk to people who are prescribed anti-depressants and the like. And, I too have been prescribed medication to combat mental illness. But the community at large demonizes users, not only those who take prescription medication for one reason or another, but those who use illicit drugs too. We need not put blame on users, nor do we need to judge someone’s character because they use.”

Comprised of Holubiak, Steve Conroy (bass), and Chris Corsico (drums), The Worst Humans found their footing at Berlin, which sits beneath 2A, a low-key dive bar on Avenue A in New York City. Berlin has long been a hideout for musicians, artists, and others who choose to live on the fringes of society.

The band draws influence from notable 90s grunge bands, as well as legendary jazz singers like Nina Simone. With a strong vision and the unremitting desire to break away from the mainstream, The Worst Humans just happen to be one of the best things going in Brooklyn.

“I want us to be a new sound for Brooklyn,” shares Holubiak. “Everyone tells me that L.A. is where the next musical movement will come from. But, not if it’s up to us.”"
War Twins
War Twins
War Twins has become known for their dynamic live set full of passionate energy, rock n' roll soul and deep electronics. A growing buzz has taken them from their hometowns on the east coast to a string of successful nationwide tours and their new home in Los Angeles.

The duo was founded by singer/songwriter Gaetana and drummer/producer James Grey. Beginning in early 2013, the band built a bed in the back of a ‘98 Plymouth Voyager, and promoted their first demo on a tour that took them to over eighty cities. Since, they've performed close to 500 shows across the country to date.

Most recently, War Twins has supported international acts such as Wolf Alice, Alien Ant Farm and Filter,
with additional performances at SXSW, Catskill Chill, Slingshot and other festivals.

Thanks to the help of their fast growing community, through crowd-funding, War Twins spent time in late November 2017 recording some of their newest music with grammy award winning producer, Sylvia Massy (Prince/ Johnny Cash/ Red Hot Chili Peppers), which will be released in early 2018.
Micky James
Micky James
Born and raised in the shadow of New York City, naturally Micky had a taste for the theatrical and aspired to become an artist and performer from a young age. In his music and personal style, Micky James explores a sound and aesthetic that is nostalgic of a bygone era in rock n roll music, while still maintaining a contemporary pop ambition. Micky's unique vocals are reminiscent of great character voices such as David Bowie and Julian Casablancas, alluding to the dark, mysterious, and romantic qualities that are so distinct to those artists. While Micky's flamboyant fashions evoke the glamour and swagger of past rock icons, his work is both equal parts style and substance.
